FOUNDATION
The company was founded in 1913 by the entrepreneur and forward-thinking man Hermann Amos, and the first catalogue of tools was published a few years later.
His uncommon innovative idea and intuition were based on the selection and distribution of high professional quality in Italy, which during that historical time was going through a significant stage of industrial and economic growth. Quality tools became essential for production, construction and maintenance.
His brother Eugenio supported him in this growth phase for many years. During the autarchy regime of the 1930s, Hermann and his son Mario took over the USAG tool production factory in Gemonio (VA), already a supplier of the Hermann Amos company.
Mario Amos made an instrumental contribution to the expansion of the company during the post-WWII years, up to the point of making it leader in its sector.
Great entrepreneurial ideas assisted by capable executives and collaborators and a big catalogue led the company to the third generation. In continuity with tradition, but with an eye focused on the future with the current chairman Paolo Amos at the helm, it is projected to stay in step with the times and is continuing down its path marked by research and the ongoing development of innovative products that make the everyday work of numerous professionals faster, more efficient and safer.
The fully automated main warehouse in Cologno Monzese confirms its drive for excellence of service that has always allowed speed and flexibility in delivering orders to be offered.
